Election Energy is a regular newsletter on the biggest issues facing climate and energy politics and policy.

We cover economics, public opinion, and quite a lot of political snark. I’ll include some of my writing from elsewhere, links to the best things I’ve read, and fresh insights on where things are heading. You’ll also get access to rapid reactions to news and events and interviews with leading thinkers, with more to come.

Still unsure; read this post to understand more and get a flavour for Election Energy.

Yeh but who are you?

I’m a Director of Energy and Environment at the policy and insights firm Public First, as well as an Associate Fellow at IPPR specialising in green industrial policy. Previously I was head of economy at the environmental think tank Green Alliance, an adviser to the Labour Party, a senior adviser to Tony Blair, and led on Brexit and industrial strategy for the Wellcome Trust. I’m a member of the foreign affair’s think-tank Chatham House’s Governing Council, a school governor in Camden, a trustee for Bristol Museums and a mentor with the Social Mobility Foundation.
